Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields - General Lab

Responsibilities

Perform waived, highly, and moderately complex laboratory procedures in various fields.
Adhere to laboratory procedures for collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results.
Follow quality control policies and document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.
Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisors if necessary.
Perform and document maintenance on instruments and equipment as needed.

Skills

Qualifications

Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or completion of coursework in a program for MLT.1 year of hospital laboratory work experience preferred.
