The Metallic Additive Materials Application Engineer provides materials expertise and technical leadership for additive components within GE Aerospace's collaborative Additive Integrated Product Team. This role involves setting strategy and leading alloy and modality development programs to support commercial and military aviation products. The position requires partnering with cross-functional teams to drive technology readiness and ensure the producibility of additively manufactured hardware.
GE Aerospace designs, manufactures, and supports aircraft propulsion systems, integrated avionics, and aerospace components for commercial, military, business, and general aviation customers worldwide. Beyond core engines (including programs developed with partners such as CFM International), the company provides aftermarket services, maintenance and repair, digital monitoring and analytics, and lifecycle support. It also invests in advanced manufacturing, electrification, sustainable aviation fuels, and other technologies to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and modernize aerospace and defense operations.
