Raidium
This internship focuses on developing a weakly supervised method to characterize lesions from radiology reports using OncopilotDetect's detections as candidates. The role involves structuring training datasets with report-derived labels and handling the complexities of radiological text, such as hedged wording and label noise. The goal is to benchmark the approach against fully supervised baselines with the aim of publishing at a venue like MICCAI.
Raidium has developed a radiological foundation model — described as the "GPT" of radiology — and an AI-native platform that embeds that model into imaging workflows. The technology creates scalable imaging biomarkers for both clinical practice and research, with an initial focus on clinical-trial endpoints such as RECIST in oncology. By combining an AI-native PACS viewer and centralized biomarker generation, Raidium aims to unify disparate AI tools, simplify radiology workflows, and accelerate precision-medicine use cases for radiologists, researchers, and trial sponsors.
