About this role

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking an experienced professional to own the integration of Silicon Photonic I/O devices from development through production within the 300mm technology team. The role requires a deep technical understanding of Silicon Photonics and a balanced scorecard approach to improve quality, cost, and delivery across the technology lifecycle. Success involves leading medium to large projects, coaching staff, and driving defect and cost reduction for integrated modules while collaborating with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Own integration module ownership for Silicon photonics I/O development
Drive development and defect reduction for integrated modules
Collaborate with device and packaging teams to drive I/O solutions
Coach and mentor less experienced technical staff
Lead medium to large projects and assignments

Skills

Qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering or Materials ScienceMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science5+ years of experience in semiconductor device integration
