About this role

The New Graduate RN Residency Program at Banner Health is a full‑time, benefitted position designed to transition recent nursing graduates into competent professional nurses. Participants receive clinical mentorship, simulation training, and comprehensive orientation while working three 12‑hour night shifts on a progressive care unit. The role includes a flat‑rate weekend differential and night shift differential, with benefits beginning the first of the month after start date.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, and social needs
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Document assessments and interventions in the Cerner EMR system
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
