About this role

The Ombudsman for NOLA Public Schools serves as a neutral and independent resource for families of students with disabilities across district and charter schools. The role focuses on ensuring equitable access to services and legal compliance with IDEA and Section 504 while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality. The Ombudsman works closely with the Accountability Team to monitor and support special education compliance and systemic improvements.
