About this role

Act as a third-level Work Permit Approver at Vopak to ensure all contractor and maintenance activities within the terminal adhere to strict safety, health, and environmental standards. You will conduct daily permit meetings, audit permits against approved lists, and verify conditions including gas testing, lockout/tagout procedures, and infrastructure safety before work begins.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily Work Permit meetings to coordinate activities and identify risks.
Participate in Lockout and Tagout evaluations and executions for permits.
Maintain records and control of the Lockout and Tagout process.
Audit work permits during shifts against approved permit lists.
Notify and stop work immediately upon detecting unsafe conditions or acts.
