Patient Care Technician supporting the Observation and Short Stay unit, providing direct bedside care for patients under 24–48 hour observation at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. The role works under RN direction to monitor and document patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions and assists with daily patient needs. This position is suitable for new graduates or experienced candidates.

Qualifications
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
- US Navy Hospital Corps School
- EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic Certification
- Current Student in Clinical Program (≥1 Semester)
- Work Experience as PCT or Nursing Assistant (within 3 years)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
