About this role

MatX is seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to design and deliver high-speed, high-power, high-density printed circuit boards for AI chip, compute tray, and rack-scale platforms. This hands-on role involves owning the layout process from floorplanning to final release, ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and system performance. The position requires deep expertise in high-speed design, complex BGA routing, and collaboration with SI/PI engineers and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

Own PCB layout from floorplanning through final Gerber release for complex high-layer-count boards
Design high-speed differential pair and controlled impedance routing for PCIe Gen5/6 and Ethernet interfaces
Design power delivery networks and plan stack-ups to meet signal and power integrity requirements
