Collaborative Support Programs of NJ
CSPNJ is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORT) in Ocean and Monmouth counties, responding to 988 crisis center dispatches. This role provides immediate crisis intervention and support to adults experiencing mental health, substance use, or suicidal emergencies, utilizing personal lived experience to build rapport and model hope. The specialist works to de-escalate crises, connect individuals with community resources, and promote long-term wellness and recovery.
CSPNJ is a peer-led not-for-profit organization, providing flexible, community-based services. CSPNJ promotes wellness and recovery through the provision of community wellness centers, supportive housing, and crisis respite centers for people with the lived experience of behavioral health conditions and substance use.
