Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist provides peer support services to clients with serious and persistent mental illness at the Jail Diversion – Crisis Residential Facility. Under the Program Manager's supervision, the role involves acting as a role model for recovery, advocating for consumers, and assisting individuals in regaining independence and mastering their recovery process. The position requires mentoring clients, providing non-clinical skills training, and facilitating group sessions to teach coping strategies and self-advocacy.
