Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist role supports individuals in recovery from substance use and/or mental illness through shared understanding, mentorship, and advocacy. This position serves as a role model and motivator for participants in the Albany County Court Supervised Treatment Program, helping them navigate recovery and access community resources. The specialist works as part of a treatment team, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries while assisting with crisis situations and recovery education.
