Perfusionist

The Perfusionist is a skilled professional responsible for setting up, operating, and managing extracorporeal circulation equipment to ensure proper management of physiologic functions during surgical procedures. This role involves selecting appropriate equipment and techniques in consultation with physicians, monitoring patient vitals, and administering medications and anesthetic agents via the heart-lung machine. The position requires maintaining aseptic techniques, performing equipment maintenance, and supporting the operational needs of the Perfusion Services department at Baptist Health Care facilities.
