Proxima Fusion
As a Plasma Spectroscopy Diagnostician at Proxima Fusion, you will design and build critical diagnostic systems for the Alpha stellarator to measure ion temperature, impurity concentration, and flow. This role involves managing the full product lifecycle from conception and design through testing, installation, calibration, and maintenance of spectroscopic instruments. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including fusion scientists and engineers to solve complex challenges in plasma physics and hardware implementation.
Proxima Fusion is Europe’s fastest-growing fusion startup, building the first generation of fusion power plants using quasi-isodynamic (QI) stellarators. They combine stellarator optimization, high-temperature superconducting magnets, and advanced computational design, drawing on decades of magnetic confinement fusion research and experience from the W7-X IPP program. Their Stellaris program advances scalable, robust stellarator concepts designed to deliver grid-scale fusion energy with a clear path to commercialization. The company aims to power the future with clean, safe, abundant fusion energy across Europe.
