Police Officer - Entry/Cadet (Trainee)

The City of Benicia is seeking candidates to sponsor through a recognized police academy for the Police Officer - Entry/Cadet (Trainee) position. Selected candidates will attend a six-month POST certified Police Academy starting in March 2027, followed by a probationary period and Field Training Officer program. Upon successful completion, candidates will be sworn in and promoted to Police Officer, with responsibilities including patrol duties, crime investigation, and law enforcement duties.
