Police Officer

Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of duties for the Canon City Police Department to maintain public order and assist and protect the lives and property of residents, business owners, and visitors. The role involves enforcing federal, state, and municipal laws, patrolling the city, investigating incidents, and providing excellent customer service to the community. The officer is responsible for apprehending suspects, preparing legal paperwork, and testifying in court as needed.
