Port Engineer

The Port Engineer maintains vessel availability by minimizing unscheduled out-of-service time, troubleshooting repair problems, and managing costs and trends. This role involves supervising maintenance and repair operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing complex shipyard projects for assigned tugs and barges. The position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of ABS and USCG regulations, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to optimize fleet operations and safety.
