The Principal Data Modeler designs enterprise-wide data modeling standards and translates business concepts into structured schemas on Snowflake. This role integrates models into the organization's catalog, governance frameworks, and quality checks while optimizing database performance.

Responsibilities

Design enterprise-wide conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Implement optimized physical data models on Snowflake using star or Data Vault schemas
Define and maintain canonical entities, dimensions, and metric definitions
Embed governance by design through classification, tagging, and access policy enforcement
Mentor junior data modelers and publish modeling standards and runbooks
