The Principal Engineer, Perception will define the technical direction and architecture for Saildrone's autonomous maritime perception systems, enabling vehicles to operate reliably without continuous human supervision. This hands-on leadership role involves solving complex challenges in sensor fusion, estimation, and machine learning while translating research into robust production software. The position requires connecting sensing, estimation, and machine learning into a coherent system deployed on real-world vehicles.
