Archer is seeking an experienced Materials and Processes (M&P) Engineer to serve as the Metallics Subject Matter Expert for the airframe of its next-generation eVTOL aircraft. The role involves leading technical decisions for metallic materials and processes, ensuring FAA certification compliance, and supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The ideal candidate will have deep metallurgical expertise and a strong command of aerospace specifications and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical authority for metallic materials and processes across primary and secondary airframe structure
Develop compliance data and substantiation for M&P-related airworthiness requirements and support FAA certification
Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations using fractography, metallography, and SEM/EDS
