The Process Engineer will join BioMADE’s Hayward pilot plant operations team, translating customer fermentation and downstream process requirements into operational procedures, batch documentation, and technical guidance. The role works closely with project leads, operations managers, and technical staff to support technology transfer, campaign preparation, production execution, and post‑production closure while promoting a zero‑harm safety culture.
BioMADE (Bioindustrial Manufacturing and Design Ecosystem) is a national initiative to accelerate the development and adoption of biotechnology-enabled, bio-based manufacturing in the United States. By convening industry, academic, and government partners, BioMADE funds and coordinates R&D, scale-up demonstrations, and workforce development to bring sustainable bioproducts from concept to commercialization. It focuses on creating a robust domestic bio-manufacturing ecosystem, improving supply chain resilience, and translating bioscience into real-world products.
