Better Cotton
The Product Engineer designs and builds digital products for farmers, field teams, and programme partners to collect data and carry out field activities. This role combines product judgement, design sensibility, and software engineering to create simple, reliable tools that strengthen field operations and improve programme efficiency. The position focuses on developing high-quality features across frontend, backend, and data layers while leveraging AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.
Better Cotton Initiative (Better Cotton or BCI) is a global non-profit that works to make cotton production more sustainable and to improve the livelihoods of cotton farming communities. It develops and promotes practical standards, farmer training and verification to reduce environmental impacts (water use, soil health, pesticide reliance) and boost productivity and income. BCI partners with brands, retailers and supply‑chain actors to scale adoption of better practices and increase the volume of responsibly produced cotton worldwide.
