About this role

This role supports GlobalFoundries' expanding Fab Operations in Penang, Malaysia, by monitoring production processes and performance metrics to ensure real-time support for global manufacturing. The engineer will manage Factory Work in Process (WIP) to meet cycle time and on-time delivery targets while collaborating with QA, engineering, and planning teams. Responsibilities include strategic planning for daily WIP movement, optimizing inventory levels, and establishing recovery plans to achieve key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

Plan and strategize daily WIP movement to meet shipment targets
Coordinate operational plans with QA to expedite critical lots
Generate comprehensive reports for visualization of fab performance
Establish recovery plans to meet OTD performance KPIs
Collaborate with engineering to optimize WIP inventory levels
