Friends of the Children — Eastern Washington is the local chapter of a nonprofit that pairs youth facing the greatest obstacles with paid, professional mentors who commit to supporting them for 12+ years. The program focuses on breaking cycles of generational disadvantage through long-term relationships and a two-generation approach, serving youth involved in foster care, mental-health systems, and other high-risk circumstances. Services are provided at no cost to families and are supported by donors, partners, and community volunteers. The chapter offers ways to get involved through donations, events, and volunteer or advocacy opportunities.
