Recreation Programmer I (Adapted Recreation)

The Recreation Programmer I (Adapted Recreation) assists in developing, coordinating, and implementing accessible recreation programs and events for people with disabilities across the City of Vancouver. The role involves planning, organizing, and evaluating programs to ensure successful participation for individuals of all abilities, while providing training on Disability Acceptance and Awareness. This position supports the creation of inclusive programs and works closely with staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders to reduce barriers to participation.
