Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Teacher and Program Administrator/Principal in the Services for Exceptional Children Specialized Behavior Support Program classroom and possibly in home settings. The incumbent supports the instruction of social/emotional/behavioral skills and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The role involves collecting data, assisting with parent training, and directly implementing behavior plans.
