The Relief Cook supports Sojourn House’s Food Services Program by preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious meals to refugees, adhering to food safety and cultural dietary needs. This relief role provides coverage across weekdays, weekends, statutory holidays, vacations, and leaves on rotating shifts.
Sojourn House is a Toronto-based nonprofit that has been providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and wraparound support services to refugees and newcomers since 1987. Its programs include 24/7 emergency shelter, transitional housing, outreach and housing stabilization, an on-site health clinic, food services, and youth life-skills programs. Operating with a trauma-informed, community-centred approach, Sojourn House helps newcomers achieve dignity, stability, and a strong foundation for long-term independence in Canada.
