YSS is seeking a compassionate and dependable Residential Overnight Specialist to create a safe, structured, and supportive overnight environment for youth ages 12–18 in recovery. The role involves supervising routines, monitoring behavior, administering medications, and providing consistent encouragement to support participants' well-being and success. This position requires maintaining a calm presence, responding to crises, and collaborating with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care.
YSS is one of Iowa's oldest and largest nonprofits, empowering youth and families for over 50 years through shelter, counseling, mental health services, and life skills programs. The organization operates initiatives including homeless youth services, residential addiction treatment (Ember Recovery), foster care advocacy, and opioid prevention education.
