About this role
Under general supervision, the Respiratory Care Practitioner administers prescribed therapies, assesses patient condition, and monitors response to treatment. The role includes airway and ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and documentation, with special duties in neonatal and pediatric care in the ICU and during transport. The practitioner collaborates with physicians to develop breathing management strategies and supports patients and families through care and education.
