Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist at Bethesda North Hospital delivers high-acuity, autonomous respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including advanced ventilator management, intubation, and active involvement in cardiac surgery recovery, LVAD care, and ECMO ramping. The role involves providing respiratory care in all patient care settings, managing mechanical ventilation, and assessing the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy administered. Additionally, the practitioner assists in the clinical education of Respiratory Therapy Students and participates in diagnostic activities such as ABG procurement and analysis, bedside pulmonary function testing, and hemodynamic procedures.
