The Lactation Consultant RN is an on-site registered nurse position in the Birth Center providing specialized, evidence-based lactation support to mothers, infants, and families. The role operates within the Women & Children service line and serves as a resource to staff while upholding MercyOne’s mission, vision, and values. This is a .9 FTE position scheduled as 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- BSN Preferred
- Iowa RN License

- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) - ALPP
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) - within 3 years
- Mandatory Reporter Training (within 3 months)
