About this role

Standard Bots is seeking a Software Engineer to own automated test suites and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure for their controls and industrial-integration layer. This role focuses on validating integrations in real-time alongside engineering teams, building PLCSimulators, and ensuring compliance with industrial safety standards. Candidates must be comfortable working at the intersection of software and hardware within a robotics factory environment.

Responsibilities

Build and own automated test suites and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure
Exercise industrial communication protocols including Modbus and EtherNet/IP
Develop software-based simulators and mocks for PLCs and safety hardware
Validate integrations in real time to solve defects during sprints
Design maintainable test code and fixtures for Systems Test Engineers
