About this role

Amex GBT's Security GRC team is seeking a Summer Intern to support Governance, Risk, and Compliance programs within their corporate travel platform. This role offers hands-on experience in information security, risk management, and compliance while collaborating with experienced professionals on meaningful projects. The intern will assist with risk assessments, compliance evaluations, and audit support to build foundational skills in the field.

Responsibilities

Support risk identification and assessment activities by gathering and analyzing data related to information security controls.
Assist with compliance assessments to evaluate adherence to security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Help collect and organize evidence for audit activities including documentation review and preliminary gap analysis.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation such as policies, procedures, and standards.
Assist in tracking and monitoring security and compliance metrics to help assess control effectiveness.
