Toters is seeking a Senior AI Backend Engineer to design and build production-grade, AI-powered backend systems and internal platforms that enhance developer productivity and software delivery. This role involves leading the adoption of AI tools and workflows across the engineering organization, establishing best practices, and translating emerging AI capabilities into reliable, scalable solutions. The position requires a hands-on builder who can prototype rapidly, define AI observability standards, and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI into both customer-facing products and internal engineering processes.
Toters is an on-demand delivery platform and mobile app that provides fast, easy local delivery of food, groceries, electronics, and other items. Customers place orders through the app and can pay by card or cash, with real-time order tracking from placement to doorstep.
