About this role

The Senior Controls Engineer serves as the technical lead for optical beam pointing and control systems, enabling high-precision optical communications for the 2028 Mars Orbiter mission. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing control algorithms that integrate optical sensors, gyroscopic measurements, and spacecraft attitude control to maintain precision optical links across interplanetary distances. The engineer will work across multiple teams to ensure the system meets performance requirements from design through on-orbit operations at Mars.
