About this role

As a Senior Technical Lead in Careem's Data Science organization, you will drive real-time, cross-vertical personalization systems for Food, Quik, and Shops using advanced AI techniques. You will lead the development of graph-based retrieval, transformer architectures, and streaming learning models to enhance user recommendations and engagement across the region. This role involves defining the personalization strategy, building scalable machine learning algorithms, and influencing product decisions through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

Design and evaluate transformer-based architectures for sequential recommendation
Build knowledge graph pipelines for candidate generation and ranking at scale
Develop online streaming learning systems that adapt to user behavior in real time
Lead exploratory analysis to identify new levers for moving key business metrics
Shape customer acquisition strategies through data-driven decision-making and experimentation
