Senior Legal Counsel, Ceded Reinsurance provides end-to-end legal support for Markel’s outwards reinsurance and ILS transactions, focusing on structuring, drafting, negotiating, and closing reinsurance agreements, trust and collateral frameworks, commutations, and specialty product documentation. The role works cross-functionally with underwriting, finance, claims, brokers, and global legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance, governance alignment, and timely execution for Markel Bermuda Limited’s fronting, quota share, ILW, and ILS programs.
