As a Senior Sales Engineer for Enterprise accounts at Proofpoint, you will serve as a strategic trusted advisor to help large organizations strengthen their communication security, threat protection, and data protection strategies. You will partner with Account Managers to drive solution value across AI-powered email security, threat protection, and cloud app security portfolios while leading discovery, architecture design, and POCs. Based in Osaka, Japan, this role involves engaging executive stakeholders to translate technical risks into measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Managers to develop strategic enterprise security roadmaps
Lead technical discussions across email security, threat protection, and cloud domains
Design integrations between Proofpoint solutions and customer environments
Facilitate alignment across IT, Security, and executive business units
Act as trusted advisor to CISOs and CIOs for security transformation

Skills

Qualifications

6+ years as an Account SE, Security Specialist, Solutions Architect, or senior pre-sales engineer supporting enterprise customersExperience designing security architectures integrating solutions across cloud, identity, endpoint, email, and modern workplace environmentsHands-on experience in modern communication security technologies or cybersecurity vendorsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldSecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent
