The Senior Web3 Software Engineer will lead the development of high-performance decentralized applications in a blockchain-native environment focused on DeFi and trading use cases. The role involves end-to-end ownership of major product surfaces, spanning frontend interfaces, on-chain integrations, and supporting backend services. The engineer will work closely with product, design, backend, and smart contract teams to deliver secure, intuitive user experiences. This position is based in Portugal within a globally distributed team building on the Fuel blockchain operating system.
Fuel Labs is the team behind Fuel Ignition, a high-performance Ethereum Layer-2 rollup powered by the FuelVM, built for home verification and scalable for all. It leverages a UTXO-based parallel execution model, native account abstraction, and native assets to deliver high throughput (600+ TPS on Ethereum DA) with ultra-low fees, while maintaining low node requirements for consumer hardware. Fuel also provides developer tooling including Sway, a domain-specific blockchain programming language, and a full-featured toolchain for building, testing, and deploying decentralized applications.
