Neurophos
Neurophos is seeking a hands-on Nanofabrication and Characterization Engineer to build and characterize prototype metasurface chips for its optical vector-matrix multiplication engine. The role involves developing process flows, fabricating nanostructures, and measuring optical and electro-optic responses in university cleanroom and company lab settings. This position requires strong cleanroom process skills and a drive to test devices, owning the metasurface prototyping line from design to measured device.
Neurophos builds photonic AI processors designed for large-scale inference workloads. Their flagship product, the T100 OPU (Optical Processing Unit), delivers exaflop-scale inference at 50× the speed and 30× the energy efficiency of leading GPUs like the NVIDIA B200, by performing matrix multiplication in the photonic domain on a compact 25mm² CMOS-compatible die. The T100 compresses rack-level AI compute into a single package, with the Tulkas T100 scheduled to ship in 2028.
