About this role

This role is a Senior Principal Systems Engineer focused on modelling, simulation, and flight controls for complex unmanned air systems at Collins Aerospace. The incumbent will lead high-fidelity digital modeling, develop flight-critical control laws, and manage full lifecycle testing from simulation to field trials while mentoring engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design high-fidelity 6-DOF digital models of unmanned systems
Develop and deploy flight-critical control laws and autonomy functions
Lead simulation environments integrating vehicle dynamics and navigation models
Support full lifecycle testing including SIL, HIL, and field trials
Act as technical mentor guiding junior engineers through verification activities
