The Specialized Deaf Interpreter (DI) provides direct and indirect interpretation services for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, hard‑of‑hearing, and non‑deaf individuals, using ASL, tactile languages, home signs, and other visual communication methods. Working hybrid in Massachusetts, the role collaborates with ASL‑English interpreters and the Communication Access team to ensure equitable communication access across the agency.
