About this role

The Sr. Automation Engineer at Jabil will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and optimization of automated manufacturing systems. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness through innovative automation solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the entire automation project lifecycle
Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial robots
Design and integrate vision systems, motion control systems, and other advanced automation technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements
Conduct root cause analysis of automation system failures

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred8+ years of experience in industrial automationProficiency in PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens)Strong experience with industrial robotics programming (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB)Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus)
