About this role
IonQ is seeking a Physicist on the Product System Integration team to commission, calibrate, and validate quantum control operations and automated algorithm execution for trapped-ion quantum computers. The role works cross-functionally with test, build, optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers to develop tooling, processes, and documentation that accelerate system validation and deployment. The position is hands-on and involves system-level assembly, characterization, and data-driven improvement of product performance, with some travel to support remote builds.
