About this role

As a Capacity Engineer at Anthropic, you will build production systems to manage the company's massive infrastructure fleet, including data pipelines, observability tooling, and performance instrumentation. You will collaborate with research, infrastructure, and finance teams to ensure efficient resource allocation, cost attribution, and fleet health across multiple cloud providers and accelerator families. This role requires writing production-quality code in Python and SQL while operating Kubernetes-native systems at scale.

Responsibilities

Build data pipelines to ingest and normalize telemetry from heterogeneous cloud environments
Develop observability tooling for real-time visibility into fleet health and utilization
Create performance instrumentation to measure hardware efficiency across workloads
Reconcile billing exports against vendor telemetry for accurate cost attribution
Operate Kubernetes-native systems at scale to manage capacity and scheduling
