About this role

The Staff Software Engineer will serve as a senior technical leader on the Machine Learning Infrastructure team, setting direction for AI/ML platforms and evaluation systems that power Thumbtack's core experiences. This role involves designing, building, and shipping scalable infrastructure for model training, serving, and LLM-powered applications while partnering with applied scientists and product engineering teams. The engineer will drive multi-quarter roadmaps, make strategic build/buy/adopt decisions, and ensure the platform scales with the company's AI ambitions.
