About this role

The SUDORS Abstractor supports Ohio’s participation in CDC’s Overdose Data to Action program by collecting and abstracting detailed information on unintentional and undetermined drug overdose deaths. The role focuses on entering data from death certificates and coroner/medical examiner reports into the State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS) and ensuring data quality and completeness. This position works closely with the Ohio SUDORS team and external partners such as vital records offices, coroners, and medical examiners. The abstractor contributes to surveillance activities and may support reports and publications that inform overdose prevention efforts.
