About this role
The SUDORS Abstractor supports the Vermont Department of Health’s participation in CDC’s Overdose Data to Action program by collecting and entering detailed data on fatal drug overdoses into the State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System. The role involves working closely with epidemiologists and external partners such as medical examiners, coroners, and law enforcement to obtain and abstract information from death certificates and related reports. This position helps ensure timely, accurate overdose surveillance data that informs public health responses. The job is funded through a cooperative agreement and runs through at least September 29, 2026.
