About this role
Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is recruiting Surgical Tech Externs, Surgical Technologists, and First Assists for the Surgery Procedures-General unit at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL. The role supports perioperative care in a fast-paced operating room environment, with a new state-of-the-art OR opening January 2026. This is a full-time position with day shifts, on-call and weekend rotation, and a $20,000 sign-on bonus for full-time Surgical Techs and First Assists.
