The CTAO Central Organisation is seeking a Systems Engineer to play a key role in developing the Observatory's data processing and data preservation software. The successful candidate will contribute to all technical aspects required for the implementation, testing, integration, and deployment of the DPPS. Working with the team of DPPS subsystem developers, the DPPS Assembly, Integration and Verification (AIV) team, and other Computing Department experts, the candidate will play a key role in the construction of the DPPS software for one of the largest astronomical infrastructures ever built.
CTAO (Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory) is the international organisation delivering the Cherenkov Telescope Array, a next‑generation ground‑based gamma‑ray observatory. The CTAO Central Organisation coordinates the technological development, construction and operation of the array with the support of countries and an intergovernmental partner. CTA will provide a global facility for high‑energy astrophysics—probing cosmic particle accelerators, transient phenomena and searches for dark matter. The observatory serves the international astronomy community through coordinated instrument development, operations and science programmes.
